You can contact us by phone during normal office hours, Monday - Friday 9.00am to 5:30pm. We have an answering service availabale outside of normal hours, if you leave your contact details we will get back to you as soon as possible.

2. What do you do?

The Koram Centre provides confidential emotional support, for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair. We are here for you if you’re worried about something, feel upset or confused, or you just want to talk to someone.

3. What happens if I call you?

If you phone, email or visit us we will will not judge you or tell you what to do. We might ask you how you are feeling and invite you to talk about your feelings. We give you the time and space that you need to talk if you want to.

4. Are you confidential?

Everything a caller says is confidential to The Koram Centre unless: - We have informed consent from a caller to pass on information - We call an ambulance because a caller appears to be incapable of making rational decisions for him or herself - We receive a court order requiring us to divulge information - A caller attacks or threatens volunteers.

There are a range of other related organisations that we link to for related sources of support or for further information. Another starting point for advice in the UK might be your local Citizens Advice Bureau or local library.

6. I’m worried about a friend. What can I do?

You can contact us and ask us to offer our support. If appropriate, we will offer our support. Such contacts are made very sensitively. If we do make contact, our confidentiality rule will mean that we cannot tell you what they say to us.

We are receive funding from various sources including Government Agencies, European Programmes, street collections and other fund raising activities for our existence.
